BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments

Many people develop unwanted lines and wrinkles as a result of excess activity of specific facial muscles: the muscles of facial expression. Consequently, one may appear tired or even angry.

BOTOX® Cosmetic injection is a new and highly effective treatment for these problems. It is a simple out-patient procedure with no "down time."

BOTOX® Cosmetic, (Botulinum Toxin), is a natural substance which may be injected into overactive muscles of facial expression. Once injected, BOTOX® Cosmetic blocks nerve stimulation of the muscle causing it to relax. The relaxation allows the unwanted lines or wrinkles to soften and in many cases eventually disappear.

The results from the initial BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment typically last three to four months. With continued treatment the results tend to last longer.

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are safe, effective, convenient and there is minimal discomfort.

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections may also be used to control excess sweating.
